Dylan Dunn of
Mansfield, passed away October 11, 2011, at the age of 19.
Dylan graduated from
Faith Academy, in 2010. He loved surfing, fishing, baseball, music, playing
basketball at church, and participating in the Christmas drama at church. He
loved helping with the church’s Zoom Zone at Prospect United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working with little kids, and was always on the go.
One of Dylan’s
greatest dreams was to work for a cruise line, and he had achieved that goal.
He was a devoted, loyal, and compassionate son, grandson, brother, nephew, and
friend to many, many people. Dylan had an unbelievable, caring heart. Survivors
include his mother, Desa Maria Hook of Mansfield; father, Michael Richard Dunn
of Tampa, FL; step-father, Rodney Wade Saenz of Social Circle; sister, Brittany
Michelle Dunn of Tampa, FL; grandparents, Cheryl Fuller of Louisville, TN,
Robert and Beverly Dunn of Suwanee, Cassie Saenz of Covington; girlfriend,
Alyssa Piper of Conyers; uncles, Patrick, and his wife, Sara Hook, Preston
Hook, all of Conyers, Robbie, and his wife, Jackie Dunn of Sandusky, OH, Todd
Saenz of Covington; aunt, Roxanne, and her husband, Scott Galloway of Tampa,
FL, Dawn, and her husband, Steve Speed of Gray, GA, Cindy Lane of Madison;
several cousins; and many, many, many friends.
Funeral Services for Dylan will
be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell &
Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Ronnie Brannon
and Rev. Lawrence Lockett officiating, and entombment following in Memory
Chapel Mausoleum at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at
the funeral home Friday, October 14, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Flowers are
accepted, or donations may be in honor of Dylan, to his mother Desa Hook. Donations
will be made at a later date, to a charity that was of Dylan's choice.
